Head of Parks and City Beautification Projects Section
Job Description:
The Head of Parks and City Beautification Projects Section leads the delivery of new parks and city beautification projects, from concept through completion and handover. The role owns project execution for green-space and public-realm initiatives across the city, distinct from live-asset operations (Technical Operations) or facility development standards and control (Development and Control). It is a project-delivery function, not an operations or maintenance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and delivery of parks development and city beautification projects across the portfolio.
- Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and quality for new or upgraded green-space and public-realm initiatives.
- Coordinate with designers, contractors, and consultants on beautification project execution.
- Ensure alignment between delivered projects and citywide beautification strategy and design standards.
- Manage project handover to operations and maintenance teams once construction is complete.
- Track project KPIs, budgets, and risk across a portfolio of concurrent beautification initiatives.
- Liaise with municipal and regulatory authorities on project approvals and public-realm compliance.
- Support tendering and contractor selection for beautification and landscaping project works.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a closely related field.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience, with a track record of delivering parks, landscaping, or public-realm construction projects (not ongoing operations).
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and contractor performance for beautification or green-space works.
- Familiarity with city-beautification strategy, urban design standards, and public-realm project delivery.
- Experience coordinating with municipal authorities on project approvals.
- Government or semi-government sector experience in the UAE or wider GCC is preferred.
