Job Title: Performing Arts Department Manager (Director level)
Grade: 16 | Sector: Arts, Design & Literature

Job Purpose
Build and lead Dubai's sector-wide strategy for the performing arts field. Identify gaps and opportunities by engaging external stakeholders, audiences, and creatives.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the sector strategy for performing arts, including objectives, KPIs, and programs
• Run the department's annual operational plan and budget
• Assess the performing arts ecosystem to spot gaps and needs
• Shape sector policy and provide input into legislation
• Build partnerships to deliver strategic initiatives
• Design and manage funding programs, grants, and awards
• Develop and promote local and international performing arts talent
• Oversee exhibition planning, design, and documentation for the sector
• Lead department budget consolidation and compliance
• Manage and develop direct reports, set objectives, and review performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Performing Arts, Applied Arts, Business Administration, Project Management, or equivalent
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Track record managing multidisciplinary teams and large-scale stakeholder engagement
• Experience shaping policy recommendations for a sector
