We are seeking a highly accomplished Consultant HPB (Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary) & Transplant Surgeon to join a prestigious healthcare institution in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in complex HPB procedures, liver transplantation, and multidisciplinary surgical care, with a strong track record in tertiary healthcare settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and liver transplant surgical procedures.
• Lead the assessment, surgical management, and follow-up of transplant patients.
• Collaborate with hepatologists, oncologists, gastroenterologists, radiologists, and critical care teams.
• Participate in organ procurement, transplant programs, and multidisciplinary tumor boards.
• Mentor junior surgeons and contribute to medical education and research initiatives.
• Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, quality, and clinical governance.

Mandatory Requirements

Valid DHA License as Consultant HPB & Transplant Surgeon

Tier 1 Qualification as per UAE Unified Healthcare Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR):

• American Board Certification
• Canadian Board Certification (RCPSC)
• CCT/CCST (UK)
• Fellowship of the Royal Colleges (UK/Ireland)
• Australian Fellowship (FRACS)
• German Board Certification
• French Board Certification
• Or other recognized Tier 1 qualifications under UAE PQR

Fellowship Training in HPB Surgery and/or Transplant Surgery

Minimum 8+ years of post-board Consultant experience

Demonstrated experience in:

• Liver Transplantation
• Living Donor Liver Transplant (preferred)
• Complex HPB Oncology
• Pancreatic Resections
• Biliary Reconstruction Surgery

Strong publication, research, and teaching experience preferred.
