Principal Beach Planning Specialist
Location: Dubai, UAE
Client: Dubai Government Entity
Talents Tide is seeking a highly experienced Principal Beach Planning Specialist on behalf of a prestigious Dubai Government Entity.
The successful candidate will bring 10+ years of experience in master planning, design, and development of beach, waterfront, coastal, and public realm environments, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, sustainable and people-centric destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of comprehensive coastal and waterfront development strategies.
- Drive ideation, thematic concepts, design visions, and place-making strategies.
- Lead the planning and design of public spaces, waterfront environments, infrastructure, and coastal facilities.
- Integrate public-space activation, identity, functionality, and user-experience principles into development strategies.
- Review and guide design proposals, ensuring alignment with planning, regulatory, and development requirements.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary consultants, design teams, project stakeholders, and government entities.
- Monitor project implementation and provide strategic direction to ensure design intent and quality are maintained.
- Support PMO practices, project governance, stakeholder coordination, and delivery oversight.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and ensure development outcomes meet high standards of sustainability, functionality, and placemaking.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience in coastal development, waterfront master planning, architecture, urban design, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in Master Planning, Urban Design, Coastal Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong expertise in:
- Coastal and waterfront master planning
- Urban and coastal placemaking
- Design review and development oversight
- Public realm and destination development
- PMO practices and project governance
- Multidisciplinary and stakeholder coordination
- Experience working on large-scale waterfront, beach, public realm, or coastal development projects is highly desirable.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
- Native-level English proficiency is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder management skills.
